Annmarie Edwards is an empowering and motivated woman who is a voice for women everywhere. She is a volunteer YOU coordinator, working with high school age students at her church "Unity" in Fletcher, NC. She is also a volunteer for the Cancer Society in Asheville, NC. Presently, she is working with Interlace to raise funds for their domestic voilence program. Annmarie has over thirteen years plus experience as a teacher, trainer and speaker.

2. Where the idea came from for this contest?
The inspiration for this contest came on January 31, 2007. As I was preparing for bed, I saw the image of a woman in my bedroom curtain. I held the vision in my mind and when I woke up, I painted the image. The idea came to me to have an “Every Woman Contest,” while I was painting the picture. It was an empowering feeling to paint an image that represents all women.
3. What do you want to get from this contest?
I would like women to use this opportunity to celebrate their full success as a contributor to this world. To that end, women are the MOTHERS’ of this world and they need to acknowledge their contribution in an empowering way. I would like to bring women together who can share their uniqueness in empowering other women to excel in their lives.
I would like women to empower themselves by entering this contest. This is the greatest gift for me to celebrate the essence of women and their impact on the world.

This contest allows women to come out from their shadows and celebrate themselves. It is a time to honor uniqueness and inner wisdom.

The contest is asking women who are 18 years of age and older and are residents of the United States to answer three questions:
1. How does it feel to be a woman in the 21st century?
2. What distinguishes you from other women?
3. How do you celebrate your success and the success of others?
7. What should I as a contestant write about?
You need to answer the three questions that the contest is asking for. For instance, your answers should relate to your feelings, how you see yourself amongst other women and how you celebrate success for yourself and others.
8. How many times can I enter the contest?
You can enter the contest only once. You will be disqualified for submitting multiple entries.
9. How will the winners be judged?
The winners will be judged using the following criteria:
1. Originality of thoughts
2. Style and organization
3. Good grammar and quality
